Babys Room

Well the baby's room has been one of the many Reno's in our house.  It was basically a storage room for the past 2 years and consisted of everything that should be in a shed. So you could imagine the cleanup was lengthy but worthwhile and not to mention necessary. All our hard work of prepping, sanding and patching the walls and then finally painting the room definitely paid off. The carpet was then able to be laid, so the fun of doing up the baby's room finally begun!!!

This was the night we got our carpet laid. We were so excited we had to start  setting up the room. This is the change table/ chest of drawers Andrew is assembling

The rest of the furniture was set up the  next day and over the past 2 weeks we have started to decorate, Making  it feel more homely

Hello!

Well it has been a long time since ivé been on my blog, mainly because i have been so busy with life in general. Work, church, social and renovating. We have had to really push ourselves these last couple of months. Getting the house ready for our baby to come.

When we first found out i was pregnant, Our intentions were to get growing belly shots every week. Well that didn't happen!!!

This pic is when i was just  30 weeks pregnant.

13 weeks pregnant and proud

I will be 13 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Last week i had my ultrasound and got some amazing photos. So i thought i would post them for all to see. It truely is amazing how formed babies are at this stage....A miracle indeed.
This is my precious baby. As you can see he/she is sitting upside down with the head facing downwards. In pic 1 you get a look at the extended legs (having a little stretch) as in the following pics you will notice the legs are bent. In pic 2 you get to see the tiny hands. In pic 3 you can see basically the entire body. In all these photos you can see the umbilical cord if you look closely. it is running along the top of the womb.

The baby is in the same position as the last set of pics. The first pic you can see the hands well and also the head. The second pic you can see the umbilical cord which is running across the top of the babies back, you can see this in pic 3. The legs are visable and are bent at the time. The head, spine and tummy are all very prominant as well. In pic 3 you can see much the same as pic 2.

I love pic one of this set as you can see the babies side veiw of the face very clearly. You can even see a little nose....amazing! Now you may have noticed that the baby is facing upwards in this set. This is because the last 2 sets of pics were taken in the morning and these were taken in the afternoon, so the baby has rotated to an upward posion and is not facing down so much. In the morning they were unable to get the measurments of the neck which checks for downs screening. This was due to the position of the baby. Even after 2 walks in the garden it wasnt enough so they had to send me on my way only to return in the afternoon. Praise God after having some lunch the baby had moved and was very active. in pic 3 you can see a hand extended. Other than that there is not much in this set.

Bathroom Reno

As i have mentioned in previous posts the fact that i am renovating, i thought i would show you some pics of our bathroom - the process and finally the end result. Bear in mind we have an old house that has needed gutting from the inside. I mean the bathroom, kitchen/loungeroom, laundry, bedrooms...everything!!

The easy part is always the dismantling...  it dosn't take long and it dosn't really matter how you go about it!

but then comes the hard work.
I am very blessed with a husband that is a Tradey. He is an electrician by trade but he can do pretty much anything. He only needed little help with the plumbing in the bathroom. Everything else he did himself.

Back into the swing of things

Well i am back into the swing of things after a great Christmas break! This year i hope to accomplish much. I hope to have all my home renovations complete with the help of my wonderful husband Andrew, who does most of  the work. I am a great overseer and decorator. So my job usually consists of cleaning up after my husband messes (Which to  be honest i can't complain as he has put in so much time and effort into our house). I also do up the bedrooms, Patch up the walls and a give it a fresh new coat of paint... Surprisingly it makes all the difference! I can't wait until my house is complete. I will finally be able to decorate the way i want. It has been 2 years now since we bought our house and it was in desperate need of some TLC. The whole inside needed a birthday! Luckily we have past most of the major hurdles.
